Recognition of high school students and teachers visiting from Pinneberg, Germany
Recommendation
Staff recommends that the Mayor and Council recognize and give certificates of welcome to eight students and two teachers visiting Rockville from Pinneberg, Germany from September 26 to October 16, 2009.
Discussion
The Rockville Sister City Corporation, in an effort lead by Board Member Jerol Briggs has hosted and planned activities for students from Pinneberg Germany. Rockville families have welcomed the students and their teachers into their homes for the visit. In addition to Rockville, they will be visiting Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and New York City. The list of students and their teachers is below:
